“League Bound really helped me put together a cohesive story throughout my application specifically in my essays. Before meeting with Razi I was struggling to put together good essays that told a cohesive story. Even when I thought my essays were good they were nowhere near the same level as after working with League Bound. He showed me how to convey my life story through powerful anecdotes through my application.”

"Razi is the best essay tutor I’ve ever had! I greatly appreciated his straightforward and encouraging suggestions that kept me motivated to keep improving my essays, and in just a couple months, I saw the quality of both my essays and writing abilities skyrocket. Combined with his remarkable efficiency during meetings, Razi’s skills and vision as a mentor played a massive role in me getting accepted into my dream school, Johns Hopkins."

"Working with League Bound completely transformed my essay approach. I was unsure what colleges wanted, but Razi helped me focus on the right things—outcomes and personal growth rather than just storytelling. He identified which parts of my story were truly unique and helped me find significance in experiences I thought were mundane. Even our brief consultations guided my activities and summer planning."

“Razi walked me through the basics of essay-writing, explaining what was allowed and what wasn’t, reminding me of the key rule: show, don’t tell. He helped me plan the structure of the essay, and writing it was a breeze from then on. He helped me edit parts down and gave me ideas when I went blank. I was accepted to Brown University under Early Decision, and I don’t think this would have been possible without Razi’s guidance. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for help with their university applications.”

“With Razi's help, I got into UCLA and Georgetown Law! My biggest fear going in was that I didn't have a defining "why law" moment, but Razi helped me find small moments I'd totally overlooked and weave them into a narrative that felt so authentically mine. He taught me that vulnerability, even talking about my faults, wasn't a weakness but actually what made me stand out. The story we built together didn't just shape my personal statement, but carried through my supplements, my interviews, and honestly gave me so much confidence throughout the entire process.”

“Razi was super insightful…the meetings I had with him were always productive, and I walked away feeling confident in my next steps. He gave me honest, consistent feedback on my work. This led me to construct a final personal statement that I was proud of and that helped me gain admission to Stanford. Sincerely, Razi is an essay genius. I couldn’t recommend him more to students who are seeking the highest quality essay tutor!”

“A minute is never wasted with Razi. He puts his all into every session to ensure his students are at their best, a characteristic that is rare in college consulting. Razi is an expert at crafting stories — stories that grip admissions officers and help his students stand out.”

“Working with Razi completely transformed my application. What surprised me most was learning essays should be stories, not formal statements. Razi pushed me to rewrite multiple times, adding examples and showing rather than telling. His feedback was honest and critical, but that's exactly what I needed. If you're on the fence about getting help, do it. There's more to change than you think, and it's worth rewriting as many times as it takes for the next major part of your life.”

Razi was instrumental in helping my son get into his top-choice college. His guidance was realistic and grounded in years of experience, giving us clear expectations and honest benchmarks for where to apply. He helped my son stay focused and present his strengths effectively throughout the process. We’re incredibly grateful for his support and highly recommend him to any family navigating college admissions.

“Razi is truly a lifesaver for college essays. He is dedicated and HONEST (brutally, sometimes); he is not afraid to give genuine feedback. Razi helped me with my personal statement, not only lending me support, but also helping me find my voice and embrace my vulnerability. He aided with my supplementals as well! With Razi's help, I was accepted into Penn (University of Pennsylvania). I highly recommend Razi as a tutor, especially for those seeking admission into elite universities!”

Working with Razi, I got accepted to Columbia! Beyond being an insanely fast and efficient editor, Razi has this incredible ability to see depth in moments I thought were totally surface-level. He helped me realize that what I assumed were my strongest points were actually kind of dry, while the personal, emotional parts of my story, the things I thought were maybe too vulnerable, were what actually made me stand out. Through this, I was able to better write activities and select the right recommendation letters to build the strongest case. As someone without any family or friends in any ivies, his insight was invaluable, and I really can't overstate how much he contributed to my acceptance. Razi is honestly the best in the business.

UVA Class of 2017
When I first started my college applications I was incredibly intimidated and didn’t know where to start. Even as the first session ended, I felt significantly more comfortable and motivated. Razi helped me from start to finish, from brainstorming to outlining, rewording to restructuring, to the final touches on the essay. With his assistance I was unbelievably happy with how both my common app and supplementary essays turned out. His feedback was very detailed, and he constantly challenged me, helping me weave stories and bring out qualities in my essays that I didn’t even know I had. Based on my stats and general competition I truly believe my essays are what pushed me over to be accepted by UVA. I can’t thank Razi enough for all the support and assistance that got me into my dream school!

Why Transferring is Harder Than Getting in the First Time.

Admissions officers at elite universities aren’t looking for “well-rounded” students anymore; they are filling specific seats in their sophomore and junior classes.

With acceptance rates for some colleges as low as 1%, the margin for error is literally zero.

To set yourself up for success, stop trying to guess what the admissions office wants, and work with experts who can help you craft a winning Ivy League application.

frequently asked questions

A: The best transfer essays have three clear components: (1) Your evolution - Show meaningful growth and self-discovery at your current school, not just dissatisfaction. (2) The gap - Explain specific academic, extracurricular, or community needs your current school cannot meet (be respectful, never bash your current institution). (3) The fit - Demonstrate exactly how the new school's unique resources, programs, or culture will help you achieve your goals. The key is being specific and forward-looking, not just listing complaints.

A: Yes, but quality matters more than quantity. Admissions officers want to see you've engaged meaningfully at your current school—whether through clubs, research, internships, or community involvement. Even one or two sustained activities with clear impact are better than a laundry list of memberships. This shows you'll contribute to your new campus community, not just extract from it.

A: Less important than most people think. Your college GPA is by far the most critical factor. Here's why: admissions officers can't always gauge the rigor of every high school, making high school grades somewhat subjective. But if you're transferring from an established college they recognize, your GPA becomes a much more objective measure of your intelligence and work ethic. Strong college performance carries more weight than standardized test scores from years ago.

A: Yes. We work on every essay for every school until your entire application is perfect. We're 100% committed to every stage of the application process. We also help with rec letters and activities sections.

A: In some ways very different, in some ways not. The good news? You'll work with both a transfer student who got into an Ivy (Arianna) and Razi, whose students have matriculated to every top college in the country.

A: Now. We've helped students create exceptional applications in 1-2 weeks, but the earlier you start, the better your essays will be.

A: Pricing starts at $4,000 depending on how many schools you're applying to. We'll discuss specifics on your strategy call.
